Where in the world is Transnistria?

Transnistria is a break-away territory in Moldova. It refers to itself as the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, but its declaration of independence in 1990 was not recognized by Moldova. Transnistria is located between the Dniester River and Moldova's eastern border with Ukraine.
