Oman is an Arab nation in southwest Asia. It is officially known as the Sultanate of Oman, and it is bordered by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. It is an absolute monarchy ruled by the Sultan of Oman, but it also has a parliment with limited legislative and oversight powers.
