Great Britain is an island to the north of France and to the east of Ireland which contains within it Scotland, England, and Wales. Along with Northern Ireland, it forms the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK). Most currency from Great Britain will be labeled as having been issued by the Bank of England.
