Gibraltar is located at the entrance to the Mediterranean on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. It is a British overseas territory whose shared border with Andulsia, Spain, has made its British ownership into a source of contention between Spain and the UK. As of the Gibraltar Constitution of 2006, Gibraltar governs its own affairs though some matters are still under the jurisdiction of the UK.
