Where in the world is Aruba?

Aruba is an island located directly north of Venezuela. It is one of the islands of the Lesser Antilles in the southern Carribean Sea. In 1986 Aruba became an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Its first banknote issues began that same year. Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape, and you can expect it to be warm and sunny most of the time.
