    	(OLYMPIA)  1898. $5 Treasurer, State of Washington. Scrip issued by the State for the Trans Mississippi Exposition (St Louis 1898). 
	Redeemable "when the Legislature of the State has appropriated funds for the redemption of this scrip". Evidently they were in no hurry to redeem as this note was not paid until 1931!
	George Washington at left. Ornate green and brown reverse, which is inverted. This is a rare note, the second time I've owned it. Very Fine.  $1395
